The Baker Administration has released its budget proposal (House 1) for FY 2022, just over 6 weeks after signing the FY 2021 General Appropriations Act. This bulletin provides an overview of notable spending, revenue and policy elements of the $45.9 billion plan. The Administration’s budget includes $45.4 billion in line-item spending, $456.5 million for the Medical Assistance Trust Fund, and an additional $5.5 billion in pre-budget transfers and other spending for a bottom line of $51.5 billion, a decrease of 0.6 percent over estimated spending for FY 2021.
