Late last week the Senate completed its FY 2017 budget process. During three days of debate, the Senate added $61.4 million in new spending and 181 new policy sections to the budget proposal submitted by the Senate Committee on Ways and Means (SWM). The next stop in the process is the appointment of a conference committee to resolve the differences.
